WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS MY COURT APPEARANCE?

Depending on the type of case you have and your personal history of being present when you are expected, there are a number of possibilities.

If the case is a petty traffic matter or some types of local ordinance violations it may be that a judgement or conviction will be entered against you and a fine imposed in your absence.

In most Misdemeanor or Felony cases if you miss a court appearance and are not represented by an attorney, it is most likely that a warrant will be issued for your arrest.  The amount of bond that you will be required to post will be determined based upon the type of charge you have and your past record of showing up for court appearances.

As in all cases having a skilled criminal defense attorney can help in possibly having the warrant quashed or having convictions vacated.  Before you go to court to try to fix this on your own call an attorney at the Russo Law Offices for a free consultation.
